Nature Pod Tallahassee Area Open Day, Bear Creek Educational Forest

This event is for families interested in joining or facilitating a Nature Pod using the Wild Florida Curriculum.

Join with other families near you for a Nature Pod Open Day at Bear Creek Educational Forest (Lake Talquin State Forest), a hands-on introduction to Nature Pods and our Wild Florida curriculum. We'll begin together in Bear Creek's classroom, where our hosts share resources available to homeschool families at the site, followed by a short introduction to the history and structure of Nature Pods. From there, families break into small groups, each experiencing one hands-on activity from the Wild Florida curriculum, which may be a nature walk, nature journaling, STEM, or a creative project depending on the size of the group. We'll close together, sharing what everyone saw and learned, with time for questions and sign-ups for those interested in becoming a Nature Pod facilitator.
