Autumn Equinox Star Party – Astronomy Night at the Preserve
Join us for a rare opportunity to escape the city light pollution and explore the preserve after dark in celebration of the autumn equinox. Guided by members of the Treasure Coast Astronomical Society and our own Florida Master Naturalist, families will enjoy an evening of stargazing through telescopes provided by the Astronomical Society, along with a special educational talk on the equinox and how to identify constellations in the night sky.
Nature Explorer’s Club members—this is your chance to practice the stargazing skills introduced in Unit 4 of your Wild Florida curriculum. Learn how to use a star map, spot key seasonal constellations, and deepen your understanding of Florida’s night sky. Not a Nature Explorer's Club member, Autumn enrollment has closed, but you can join the waitlist for our Winter Club which opens mid-November.

This is a free educational event, but we collect a $5 per-family commitment fee to reduce no-shows and ensure accurate attendance. All funds collected help cover administrative costs for this outing and support the development of future educational field trips for our homeschool community.
