How Group Use Packages Work

A Group Use Package allows the licensed instructor to prepare and teach the Volume 1 Wild Florida curriculum within the named program. Meanwhile, homeschool families in the Nature Explorer's Club continue receiving each new Volume 2 season as it releases, along with free Pod attendance included in their membership. This keeps our community content and licensed classroom content clearly separate, so there's no competition between what comes with a Club membership and what a licensed program teaches.

Each package provides annual permission to teach from one completed four-season Wild Florida curriculum year. Formal programs receive the complete curriculum collection in advance, so instructors can plan the full school year before classes begin.

There are two license types, depending on how your program operates.

Volunteer Co-op License

For parent-led or volunteer-led homeschool co-ops that do not charge tuition or class fees and do not compensate instructors.

Groups may still collect reasonable shared expenses for items such as:

• Supplies

• Facility rental

• Insurance

• Field-trip admission

• Printing

• $149 per year

Paid Program License

Required for programs that charge tuition or class fees, compensate instructors, operate as a business, or use the curriculum as part of a revenue-generating educational program. This includes paid homeschool classes, microschools, farmschools, hybrid schools, enrichment programs, camps, tuition-based co-ops, nature schools, and educational businesses.

• Up to 15 students: $249

• 16+ students: $329

What a Group Use Package Includes

• Access to one completed four-season Wild Florida curriculum year

• Permission to teach directly from the curriculum

• Permission to use the curriculum with the number of students covered by the selected package

• Permission to print designated student activity pages and class handouts

• Use by one licensed organization at one teaching location

• An optional free listing in the Wild Florida Program Directory

• Permission to state that the program uses the Wild Florida curriculum while the license remains active

The licensed instructor may:

• Prepare and teach lessons from the curriculum

• Display curriculum materials during class

• Print designated student pages for enrolled students

• Send home student-created work and ordinary class handouts

• Include Wild Florida in class descriptions and enrollment materials

• Request an optional listing in the Wild Florida Program Directory

What a Group Use Package Doesn't Include

To keep things fair across every membership tier and program, a Group Use Package doesn't include:

• Sharing complete curriculum PDFs with students or families

• Providing families with access to the instructor guides

• Emailing curriculum files to participants

• Uploading curriculum files to shared drives, parent portals, classroom platforms, or learning-management systems

• Allowing families to use the complete curriculum independently at home

• Sharing the curriculum with another co-op, teacher, branch, campus, or organization

• Using the curriculum at more than one teaching location

• Reselling, sublicensing, modifying, or republishing the curriculum

• Continuing group instruction after the annual license expires

• Representing the program as owned, operated, accredited, or officially supervised by Florida Adventure Club

Additional branches, campuses, independently operated groups, or teaching locations require their own Group Use Package.

Annual License Term

​Group Use Packages are valid for 12 months. The license is based on the program's maximum enrolled capacity during the license term, not average weekly attendance.

​

An active license is required each year the curriculum is taught to a group, even when the organization repeats the same curriculum year with a new class.

​

When a license expires:

• Group teaching rights end

• Student reproduction rights end

• Permission to advertise use of the curriculum ends

• The program's directory listing is removed unless the license is renewed

Wild Florida Program Directory

Organizations with an active Group Use Package may request a free listing in the Wild Florida Program Directory.

Listings may include:

• Program name

• City and county

• Program type

• Ages served

• Brief program description

• Website or social-media page

• Enrollment or registration link

• Contact information

• Current enrollment status

Participation in the directory is optional.

Directory listings are provided for informational purposes. A listing confirms only that the organization holds a current license to use the Wild Florida curriculum. It does not constitute accreditation, certification, supervision, or endorsement of the organization, its staff, policies, safety practices, or services.

Access for Participating Families

A Group Use Package covers a student's participation during classes offered by the licensed organization. It does not provide participating families with:

• Complete curriculum files

• Home-use rights

• Current Nature Explorer's Club seasonal releases

• Nature Explorer's Club Facebook access

• Curriculum support through the member community

• Access to Nature Pods

• Continued access after the student leaves the licensed program

Families who would like to use the complete curriculum at home and receive current seasonal content may purchase their own Nature Explorer's Club family membership.

Not Quite the Right Fit?

Not every co-op needs, or can afford, even a Volunteer Co-op License. If your group would rather have each family join the Nature Explorer's Club individually, you can operate as a Super Pod under the Nature Pod Project instead. Every family gets full rights to the current season's curriculum through their own membership, working and learning together just like a standard Pod, only sized for a larger or more structured group.
